Wildlife the store page actually shows
Sources checked Steam appdetails About headings, Early Access developer notes, and store screenshots, 7 Nov 2026. Announcement emoji were not treated as a species list.
The About heading says you take care of tourists and survive unexpected wildlife encounters. The Early Access note says the playable core includes filming wildlife, and that the full version plans to add more wildlife.
Store screenshots show giraffes at a waterhole, a hippo, a lion, and a large horned animal. Those are promotional frames. Steam does not print a roster, a danger rating, or a spawn rule.
Tourists are a separate job in the same heading. They are not folded into the animal list on this page.
Wishlist posts use animal emoji and phrases like “tourists waiting.” Those lines are about the Steam audience, not a count of animals or passengers in the client.
Safari-TV’s store page promises wildlife and then shows it in screenshots. It does not publish a bestiary. This page lists the sentences, then the animals that are visible in the official frames checked on 7 November 2026. If a species is missing here, the store text did not name it and the screenshots did not show it.
The sentences
The store puts the wildlife claim in four places:
- About heading: “Take care of your tourists and survive unexpected wildlife encounters.”
- Short description: “survive wildlife encounters.”
- Early Access current state: “film wildlife.”
- Early Access full-version plan: “more … wildlife.”
“Unexpected” is the store’s adjective. The page does not define a trigger, a distance, or a fail state. “Film wildlife” is the verb in the current-state answer, next to exploring, transporting tourists, upgrading equipment, and causing chaos. Filming is also its own About heading: post videos to gain in-game views and subscribers. The views and subscribers are described as in-game. No target number is printed.
The full-version sentence means the Early Access animal set is not presented as the final set. A species in a launch screenshot can still be joined by others. This page will not guess which ones.
The same September and August posts say “70,000 tourists” and “25,000 tourists” are waiting. Both posts are wishlist milestones, signed as thank-you notes. They are not an in-game passenger count.
Frames from the store
Giraffes at a waterhole, with two small characters in the grass in front of them. The store does not caption the shot with a zone name.

A hippo in tall grass, mouth open, next to a blue portable toilet and a character. The toilet is in the frame. The store text does not explain it.

A lion beside the yellow truck, inside a viewfinder overlay that includes a red REC marker and a battery icon. A character stands to the right. REC is the filming UI the store is showing. It is not a damage meter.

A large horned animal under trees, also inside a REC viewfinder, with characters close to it. The store does not print the species name on the page, so this guide does not assign one beyond what the picture shows: a large dark animal with a horn, in a dry woodland.

A fifth frame puts a large grey animal beside the truck cab while passengers sit in the open bed and someone holds a camera. It is on the truck page. The library hero also shows a giraffe behind the canopy of the same truck. The library capsule and header crop that scene under the Safari TV logo.
Animals is one of the user-defined tags on the store page. It matches the screenshots. It still is not a species list.
Tourists sit next to the animals, and they are not the animals
The heading that mentions wildlife also says “take care of your tourists.” The Early Access line says “transport tourists.” Passengers are visible in the truck shots: stylized characters on the benches, in the cab, and gathered at a wooden camp. The store does not print a tourist type, a mood meter, or a payment. Taking care of them and transporting them are the verbs that were published. The co-op page keeps those verbs with the 2–4 player wording.
